Our WORK
A few highlights of our Economic work.
We worked on a program “In Place of War”, created by the University of Manchester, where we are giving workshops to women and youth on entrepreneurship. At the end of the workshop, the participants will proposed their ideas, and the participant with the best idea was funded by the University of Manchester to pursue their business.
In partnership with Ushagram, we promoted the economic empowerment of women in the villages of Bekaa, where we gave workshops on embroidery and knitting, as well as the recycling of plastic and nylon bags into purses. At the end of the workshop, we hosted a gallery in Jeb Jannine to promote and feature the work of these women, where they could display and sell their designs. 50 NGOs in Bekaa worked on the implementation of the gallery.
We have also worked with Shua’a Al Amal on an exhibition where these women featured their products and sold them for an economic gain.
