OUR STORY.

Sawa For Development was established in 2006 by a dedicated group aiming to contribute to the development and empowerment of vulnerable communities in Beqaa, Lebanon. Driven by the belief that social justice is fundamental for enduring peace, our work addresses discrimination, marginalization, poverty, and human rights violations, particularly for women, girls, individuals with disabilities, and those in critical situations. Our initiatives aim to educate, empower, advocate, drive social change, and ensure effective programs. Our strategy employs a community development model, engaging target communities, developing capacity at the community level, facilitating long-term planning, prioritizing community needs, mobilizing resources, and implementing development projects.

Sawa For Development has three main goals.

  1. Working towards the educational and social development of children, youth and women.

  2. Economic empowerment of women.

  3. Environmental sustainability and awareness.
